    • Water budgets developed for the 2026 irrigation season will only be valid from May 1, 2026, through October 31, 2026.
    • The goal of the 2026 Water Budget is to reduce total water use by at least 20% during the months of May through October.
    • Applicant must continue to follow the remainder of Denver Water’s summer watering rules, including:
      • No watering between the hours of 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
      • Fix broken sprinklers and any other causes of water waste immediately.
    • The 2026 Water Budget will be finalized by a signed agreement that establishes a volumetric limit for the irrigation season.
    • Any water used over the volumetric limit will be charged at a rate that is two times the rate for the highest tier of water for the applicable rate class.
    • Applicant must designate a responsible contact person for monitoring the agreed upon volumetric limit for the irrigation season and for communications with Denver Water.
    • Denver Water will provide data to the Applicant on their average water use over the past 5 years for the period May 1 through October 31, if unknown. Denver Water and the Applicant will determine the volumetric limit that meets the 20% reduction requirement for the 2026 water budget.
